The Spinster Sisters brand was founded by Kelly Perkins, who started creating soap and skincare products in the 1990s with the goal of avoiding toxic ingredients. She was shocked to discover chemicals like Triclosan, which is an antibacterial agent that can inhibit hormones. Frustrated with the lack of truly clean brands, she learned to make her own plant-based products and began selling them at markets, where they quickly gained popularity. Kelly's sister helped her with the business, and they named their first pop-up shop Spinster Sisters, inspired by the positive spirit of singlehood and sisterhood. Today, the brand remains dedicated to supporting women in all forms of relationships, including sisterhood, friendship, and partnership.
